PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds players trying out the female character models on the game's test server were surprised to see a rather inappropriate female character model. The character is dressed in skin-tight shorts with genitalia prominently shown as a result. The model in question is a new one as earlier versions of female characters did not have this same imagery. (The image after the jump may be NSFW. You've been warned!) [...]

Dreams is a hard game to explain. It is a game, but it's also a creation tool, a social network, a film studio, a music editor, and so much more, all wrapped into a single package. While Media Molecule has defined Dreams in the past, at PSX this weekend, the studio dove far, far deeper into what creators are actually capable of making with Dreams, and how much potential it has to be an absolute game-changer as a creation tool. When you start Dreams, you'll choose an Imp, a small avatar that essentially serves as your cursor and allows you to interact [...]

Covering mature themes in video games is hard. It's hard to do it right, without gamifying what might be a horrific event to make it more ‘entertaining' for players, and it's hard because the world outside of the video game bubble can be so hostile in response to it. In fact, the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect in Australia recently called for a harsh rating for Detroit: Become Human, saying “violence against women and children is not entertainment.” A professor at the Queensland University of Technology followed that story up by saying “...it does feed into [...]

After the conclusion of this year's intense Capcom Cup finals, Yoshinori Ono had made an expected announcement: The reveal of the first character for Street Fighter V's third season. What the audience didn't expect, however, was they'd get just a bit more than that. Sakura is the first fighter for the Capcom fighter's third season, and the initial trailer showed off her skillset, which includes her signature Shunpu Kyaku and Hadoken, as well as her two V-Triggers and what looks like her V-Skill, which has her jumping towards the opponent and looks like it can lead to number of follow-ups. However, the [...]

In the Katamari Damacy games, players roll around a ball that sucks up everything in its path. The ball gradually grows, allowing for bigger items to be consumed. By the end of the game, the ball grows large enough to take down Earth and all of the cosmos. Donut County is basically Katmari Damacy in reverse. The player controls a hole in the ground that grows larger each time an item falls into it. At first, the hole is tiny, barely capable of taking down a fence post. By the end of my play session at PlayStation Experience, the hole [...]
